Practically Speaking Hebrew - Monthly Plan (Online Hebrew Course)

I highly recommend Inbal’s Practically Speaking Hebrew course, it was very comprehensive and the lessons were sized beautifully as to not overwhelm. I loved her teaching styles and the repetition of phrases and words helped to solidify the content. Inbal was very encouraging and the cheerleading from her sweat, sweat soul permeated the pages and made me feel more confident in my ability to succeed.

Right from the days of my youth, I have been wanting to learn Hebrew. At that time my motivations were not clear. There were no courses offered and the only way at that time was to enroll myself in a Hebrew school which was very few and far between in the country I grew up and so was not very practical. Remember I am talking about the days when Internet was not universally available.
Many years later, my motivations became clear and more serious, (I don't want to go into them now as it's a story for another day) and I looked around to discover ways in which I could start learning Hebrew. By then Duolingo and other language learning apps had made their appearance. Well, I tried a few of them and eventually gave up. I despaired of ever being able to learn that beautiful language. But as they say, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. In my case, Inbal appeared like magic. It was indeed a miracle. I was scrolling through Facebook (which I normally don't do) when I came across Inbal's website. Something about her voice which invited people to try her method of learning Hebrew intrigued and resonated with me. I tentatively purchased her first module. I was hooked from the very first lesson. She makes learning Hebrew so easy. You know there are notoriously difficult sounds like the R, KH etc in the Hebrew language which is so very difficult to get by English speakers. But with Inbal's tips I got them so easily. But she is so modest that she will claim that it is all the students' effort. But I say that without her tips and the patience with which Inbal teaches I would never have gotten those sounds right.
It goes without saying that I have since purchased her entire course and I am progressing very nicely in Hebrew. Thank you Inbal.

If you are considering deepening your commitment to Jews and Israel, I highly recommend following and buying her program. (Personally, I think this should be part of every Jewish program, not just the Bat/Bar Mitzvah phonetic Hebrew.)

I would encourage anyone to try this course especially those who like me, tried so many other methods and are ready to give up. I made Aliyah a few years ago and honestly I had more or less resigned myself to the fact that I would never learn this language and would be mute forever but you have turned that around. I have a long way to go but now I am confident I can do this!

The difference before taking this class and now is that I’m not afraid to speak Hebrew anymore. It has given me confidence to want to talk with my friends that are also learning Hebrew. I’ve started trying to make Hebrew sentences making myself use the language more in my everyday life.

I now have the confidence to speak in Hebrew and hone the conversation skills I learned from this course and to know I would be understood by other Hebrew speakers. I am more motivated to watch and listen to entertainment in Hebrew and try to pick out what I know. I also have gained such a huge understanding of the language and I'm understanding the grammar more and more. I'm so pleased with all the progress I've made and I'm so thankful for this program.

It exceed my expectations. As a former aviator who spent most of his working life training others, I immediately recognised the excellence of Inbal's teaching technique. Moreover, it was the perfect blend of practice and explanation of why we say it that way.

I am so so very happy I took the course!! I learned so much! I also found it didn’t take up too much of my time. It was great to learn the differences in the pronunciation of certain consonants in Hebrew versus those in English. That was so very helpful! I loved learning the colloquial ways to say things too! Complex things were also explained so carefully and step-by-step that they were way to understand!

If you want to learn Hebrew and learn it fast without having to struggle or work things out yourself, do Inbal’s course. It’s like learning to drive a car. You can sit in the car and press the buttons, put the seat belt on and rev the engine without putting it in first gear to feel comfortable, maybe even go up and down a driveway.. but as soon as you actually take it for a drive - especially with a driving instructor right next to you - your confidence improves dramatically.

As I said before - teaching the pattern of the language is the most valuable feature of this course. Other courses, usually have conversations and random grammatical explanations but not so well put together like Inbal's course. After her course, I now appreciate the other course material from different platforms but without the structure I first learned with Inbal, I would be lost in an unstructured mess of randomly put out lessons.

I finished the first lesson in the course in about an hour, with a long break in the middle. I wanted to go over the PSP table, since it contains much more than your phonetic system. The connection to English sounds in most cases is so obvious, even based on the pronunciation of the letter in Hebrew. This is pretty amazing stuff!
